Blockbuster World Video Game Championship II
In 1995, Blockbuster held a tournament on both the Super Nintendo and Sega Genesis. This cartridge is rare and very hard to get hold of. Now, you can own a reproduction of this classic competition cartridge on the Sega Genesis!
PRICE BREAKS - The more you buy, the more you save
This is a REPRODUCTION and is designed in a manner that it cannot be confused with any surviving official cartridges that were never sold in the USA.
Due to demand, orders can take up to 2 weeks to fill. These items are hand made and I only keep limited stock created. As a result, I may have to make more when you order and this takes time since this is a hobby for me.
The second Blockbuster World Video Game Championships was organised in 1995, splitting contestants into categories - those aged under and including 13, and those aged 14 or above. Players could pick between Sega's console or Nintendo's SNES (which had a different cartridge - one produced by Rare featuring Donkey Kong Country). Each Blockbuster store in North America ran the event between June 14 and July 9, producing "store champions" who would then progress to further round in August, set at GamePro's headquarters in San Francisco. Despite the name it was not actually a "world championship". (taken from SegaRetro).
This release features the Genesis copy, where you play a single quarter of NBA Jam Tournament Edition, followed by five minutes of Judge Dredd.
